Books to read in 2020

Reading is something that many people enjoy but just don’t have the time or they don’t make the time for. Reading can also be a great form of self care. I always love seeing what other people are reading so I’m going to share the books that I’m hoping to read this year.

This post is going to be short and sweet but I thought it would be great to have to look back on at the end of the year and see what I actually read.

9 Interesting Books to Read in 2020

For Fun/Interest

My Story by Elizabeth Smart

This is a book about Elizabeth Smart who was abducted from her family home when she was just a young teenager. It tells of how she had hope throughout her captivity and how she was found. She also talks about how she dealt with it after she was safe and home with her family.

EDIT: I just finished this book and it was really good! I highly recommend!

Capital Gaines by Chip Gaines

This book is written by Chip Gaines who is known for Fixer Upper. It tells his story of entrepreneurship and how he got to where he is now. I loved watching the show so I’m looking forward to reading this book.

The Sound of Gravel by Ruth Wariner

This book tells the story of young Ruth who was in a polygamist family. It talks about how she grew up and what she went through.

The Witness Wore Red by Rebecca Musser

This book also talks about a young girl who grew up in a polygamist family. It tells how she grew up and how she got out of the religion. It also tells how she brought her cult leaders to justice. I’m currently reading this book and so far I love it.

EDIT: Currently in the middle of this book and it’s hard to put it down! It’s very interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
