Ways to use essential oils
1. Inhalation
This is when you smell essential oils. You can add them to a diffuser or you can just smell them out of the bottle. This is a great way to help the effects of essential oils last longer as the diffuser normally goes for hours.
2. Ingestion
You guessed it, this is when you ingest essential oils. Not all oils are able to be ingested so just make sure that yours are approved to be.
3. Topically
This means applying essential oils to your skin. This is a good way to get oils into your system quickly.
Today we are going to be talking about using essential oils topically. One of my favorite ways to use oils topically is by making roller bottles.
These are just little glass bottles with a roller ball on top that you can just roll on your skin. Most roller blends are diluted with fractionated coconut oil as this makes the oils last longer.
You can use some oils straight on your skin but I just like diluting them in a roller bottle to make them last longer and make them easier to apply.
That being said, there are also some oils that must be diluted or they can irritate your skin. Do your research before you apply an oil straight to your skin.

Common questions:
1 . How many drops of essential oils should I put in a roller bottle?
This just depends on the oils you are using. Some oils are stronger than others. You can look up dilution charts or all of Young Living essential oils have a dilution ratio on the bottle that is specific to that oil.
2 . How do you make a roller blend?
All you do is drop in however many drops of essential oils you need and then top it with a carrier oil. Super easy!
3 . Where do you put roller blends?
There are different places to put them based on what you are using them for. The common places are the bottoms of the feet, behind the ears, on the forehead and on your wrists. They will work no matter where you put them but they work faster if you put them in certain places depending on their purpose.
There are so many essential oil roller blend recipes out there to choose from. Pinterest is full of ideas but I’m going to share my favorites. I’ve used all of these and they’ve worked great for me.
***These blends are for adults, if you are wanting to use for children then please look up the correct dilution ratios.
