Our Summer Bucket List: Fun Summer Activities

June 14, 2019

Who doesn’t love summer? I love the warm air and the sunshine and being able to do fun things with my family. I thought I would share our Summer bucket list with you guys. I love reading other people’s lists and getting ideas for myself, so here we go!

Bucket List #1: Go to the Lake

We love spending time at the lake and out on the boat. I’m so excited that this year Braelynn can enjoy it more since she finally likes the water. Last summer she HATED the water but this summer she loves it and I’m so thankful.

Last year she only liked the water where she could sit in it.

Bucket List #2: Go swimming….A LOT!

So this one might not really be a bucket list item but oh well! Both sides of our families have a pool and we all love swimming so we plan to do a lot of it this year. There’s nothing better on a hot day than going swimming.

Bucket List #3: Go to Emerald Pointe

This is a waterpark near us in North Carolina. My husband and I have been saying for the past several years that we are going to go and just haven’t gotten to it. I’m determined that this year we are going to make it there. I’m looking forward to it being a great date day with just the two of us.

Bucket List #4: Take nightly walks

Now that it’s finally warm outside, we can go on a walk after dinner each night. We live in a neighborhood that has a fountain with fish in and Braelynn loves going to feed the fishies. It’s also a great way to get in a little exercise and spend time together as a family just talking and playing. It might not seem like an important bucket list item but it is to me.

Bucket List #5: Go to the zoo

We normally try to go to the zoo in the spring when it’s not so hot but that just didn’t happen this year. We will probably plan to go on a cooler day but I’m excited to see Braelynn’s reactions to all the animals. She was too little last year to really care about it but I know this year she is going to love it.

Bucket List #6: Make Popsicles

Braelynn has recently become obsessed with popsicles or “I-hmm” as she calls it. This summer I want to have her help me make some fruit smoothie popsicles. I think she will enjoy helping and I know she will enjoy eating them.

Bucket List #7: Make S’mores

I love s’mores! Roasting marshmallows just makes me think of summer. I also want Braelynn to experience roasting marshmallows. She can’t eat the whole s’more because of her allergies but she can enjoy marshmallows and that’s good enough.

Bucket List #8: Anniversary Trip

Last but not least is our 4 year anniversary trip. I honestly can’t believe it’s been 4 years since our wedding! We are going away for a night and I’m so excited

Overview

As you can tell our bucket list is kind of simple. There aren’t too many things on our summer bucket list thanks to me taking 4 classes this summer. Classes will be taking up a lot of my time but we are still wanting to do some fun things this summer.

What are some of the things on your Summer bucket list? Do we have any of the same plans?
